Halvah with Pistachio by Algota

Spicy, that’s the most accurate word to describe Halvah with Pistachio by Algota. In general, we are used to some bitter sweetness of this Mediterranean dessert, but in the Middle East it gets much more additional piquant flavors. And this Syrian halva is the perfect proof of such observation.

In year 2018 it’s not so easy to get some delicious treat from this country, which remains really dangerous spot of the world. But Kareem, my son’s colleague in London, gifted Halvah with Pistachio by Algota and hereby unfolded me the sweet side of Syria.

I could describe this halva as a very savoury and, by the way, unnoticeably sugary dessert. Its texture was somewhat juicy, but still dense enough – that’s great form for cutting. I should mention that pistachios were just sprinkled on the top… consequently, they had played only the role of decoration here 🙂 Anyhow, this spicy Halvah with Pistachio by Algota was a pretty delicious and interesting one, therefore you should definitely taste it (if only you have such chance).
