Eridanous Halva with Cocoa by Papayianni Bros

For some time Eridanous Halva with Cocoa by Papayianni Bros became perhaps the most widespread halva when one of the largest Europe’s retailers Lidl had put it on the shelves during “Greek week” campaign. So I decided to check out how good it was. Luckily, I managed to purchase Eridanous Halva with Cocoa before that Greek treat had been quickly and completely sold out 🙂 To be honest, I was quite impressed by the latter phenomenon, which have given me some great hopes in advance.

Indeed, the taste of that halva was just perfect! Everything seemed classic: right balance of bitterness & sweetness, rich layers of cocoa and pleasant, soft texture. That’s what you could have expected from Papayianni Bros, the producer of very fine Olympos halva. Therefore let’s acknowledge and commend the fact that their production for Lidl was exactly excellent, despite much lower selling price.

No advertisement here, but I’ll wait for another “Greek week” in shops of this retailer only because of that superb Eridanous Halva with Cocoa!
