Packaging of Eridanous Halva with Almonds and Dark Chocolate Coating

Eridanous Halva with Almonds and Dark Chocolate Coating by Haitoglou Bros.

Virtually Eridanous Halva with Almonds and Dark Chocolate Coating is the same Macedonian Halva with Almonds (Chocolate Coated) but in different packaging, a little bit smaller and with much thicker coating of chocolate. Both of these toothsome treats are made by Haitoglou Bros., so the taste is almost similar. If you already tried, you know how good it is!

The fact is that Eridanous Halva with Almonds and Dark Chocolate Coating becomes available only during the occasional “Greek days” in Lidl. And it costs there almost twice cheaper than original Macedonian Halva with Almonds (Chocolate Coated) πŸ™‚ Unfortunately, in different countries Lidl sells diverse versions of Eridanous halva, therefore what you find in London may not be sold somewhere else (and vice versa).

Fair warning: reviewed halva is not only savoury, but delicate dessert as well – the chocolate coating could be very melting (in certain conditions). So don’t forget this. Or consider sharing the pleasure with some other forefingers when you will be ready to open the box πŸ™‚
