Packaging of Al-Rabih halva with pistachios

Halva with Pistachios by Al-Rabih (est. 1975)

Halva with Pistachios by Al-Rabih was some kind of setback if compared to the more delicious Halva with Chocolate from the assortment of the same producer. Why? Mostly because of too dominant sourness, which muffled the overall taste. This was the reason why I simply couldn’t feel sweetness and bitterness of discussed halva.

Anyway, it was quite savory and nourishing snack (thanks to crunchy pistachios) and the texture of this halva was just great. But I had a feeling that its prime was simply distorted by citric acid (unfortunately). So I would better choose Halva with Chocolate by Al-Rabih instead of the one with pistachios. Although, if you don’t mind some extra sourness, this Lebanese treat may suit you fine.
