Packaging of Halva cocoa by Cretamel

Halva Cocoa by Cretamel (est. 1996)

I noticed Halva Cocoa by Cretamel earlier while looking on the web for Greek halva manufacturers. But only when I came to Crete I bought it in the local supermarket.

The packaging was quite nice, though a little bit “touristic”. It was filled with two pieces of halva, placed in separate containers (they were much smaller than you could expect to find inside).

Anyway, the halva itself was very good! Sweet, but not too much, quite crunchy and with delicate bitterness. And it had a strong cocoa flavour, which made the whole taste just amazing. Only the quite sticky texture of this halva I could criticise – it was really hard to slice it into nice pieces even with a sharp knife.

But generally I was impressed after tasting Halva Cocoa by Cretamel. I really liked it and I’d definitely recommend this treat to everyone, who admires Greek halva.
