Packaging of Makedonikos halvas vanilla

Makedonikos Halvas with Vanilla by Haitoglou Bros. (est. 1924)

This time I bought Makedonikos Halvas with Vanilla by Haitoglou Bros. Previously I tasted their halva with cocoa, which was really good, so I wanted to try the basic version. And it didn’t let me down at all!

The texture was soft, but firm enough to keep the form after cutting it. The taste was very mild, it just melted in the mouth. This halva was sweet, but elegantly bitter, so everything seemed to be as it has to be!

Generally, if I can choose between halva with vanilla and halva with nuts or with cocoa, I would take the last one, but… Makedonikos Halvas with Vanilla might be the exception, because it was so good! I admired its plain, but tempting taste very much, so I recommend this treat to everyone (especially to those, who are more into simple halva without additional effects like cocoa, nuts etc).
