Packaging of Handmade Halva with Peanuts by Kandylas

Handmade Halva with Peanuts by Kandylas (est. 1927)

It was interesting to try Handmade Halva with Peanuts by Kandylas. To be honest, my expectations were high, so I felt quite disappointed after tasting that sort. The halva itself was pretty good, but not enjoyable due to the gummy and quite oily texture. As I got 200 g packaging, I found inside a very thin piece of halva which was covered by somewhat sticky, caramelized layer on the surface. So it was not easy job to cut that tacky dessert. Such feature seemed quite weird and not ordinary.

Anyway, I have to admit that the taste of Handmade Halva with Peanuts by Kandylas seemed pleasant enough: softly bitter and not very sweet. Apparently the peanuts were too shredded, but, nevertheless, they added some additional cachet to this treat.

So the overall impression was relatively good, however, there were too many flaws which had leaded off to the moderate rating. But I’m pretty sure that Handmade Halva with Peanuts by Kandylas would taste much better in 400 g or even bigger packaging.
