Tray of Papatya kakaolu helva by Baktat

Papatya Kakaolu Helva by Baktat (est. 1986)

When I recently saw Papatya Kakaolu Helva by Baktat in local Turkish store, I decided to buy it. To tell the truth, such round halva tarts in transparent packaging always seemed a little bit weird, but I was very anxious to taste one of these.

Nevermind what I have been thinking before, but this halva was surprisingly good! I liked its well-balanced sweetness and bitterness, and the texture of it was also fine (but maybe – too dry). The surface of this halva tart seemed a little bit sticky, but not so much as I expected.

However the flavor of cocoa could have been more stronger, then I would definitely have more positive overall impression. Anyhow, Papatya Kakaolu Helva by Baktat might be a right choice, when you need some good, usual Turkish halva.
