Packaging of Halva with vanillin by Tunas

Halva with Vanillin by Tunas (est. 1989)

This was not the first time when I tasted Halva with Vanillin by Tunas. Few years ago I was quite disappointed, but after a long delay I gave it a second chance. What a pleasant surprise awaited me, because this halva had so much better taste now.

I liked its notable bitterness, which wasn‘t overshadowed by the sweetness. And vanillin aroma was not too strong. And, the most importantly, there was no peculiar bitter aftertaste, which upset me when I had tried Tunas halva previously.

Its texture was quite dry and crunchy, somewhat gummy on the surface, but it‘s a frequent problem of the halva bars. Anyway, it was really good example of plain halva you can get at affordable price. Worth of trying.
