Packaging of Halvas Drapetsonas Cranberry and Almonds

Halvas Cranberry & Almond by Halvas Drapetsonas (est. 1924)

I was very curious regarding Halvas Cranberry & Almond by Halvas Drapetsonas. Most likely you will agree that any berries would seem very unusual component of halva. Therefore I was really excited to try this one.

When I opened the container the most surprising thing was the brightly pink color. It looked very strange, but undoubtedly fancy. The taste was also extraordinary, thanks to the strong flavor of cranberries. This halva had enough bitterness and it was quite sweet, but at the same time it distinguished itself with some sourness, what seemed so exceptional. The texture of this treat was somewhat crunchy, but it just melted in the mouth, attacking my taste receptors in almost all possible ways. Accordingly, only few pieces of it were enough to cater my sweet tooth.

Fairly, I found no cranberries in this halva (in fact Halvas Drapetsonas have used the cranberry juice), but there were plenty of almonds and they have added additional deliciousness to it. For me Halvas Cranberry & Almond appeared to be a really interesting dessert and you may love it. But I doubt that you could eat such halva each day. But it‘s worth of trying, for sure!
