Packaging of Helva with Cocoa by Sebahat

Helva with Cocoa by Sebahat (est. 1987)

Helva with Cocoa by Sebahat was among my favourites for a long period of time, but lately I noticed that it had become sweet like never before. So I decided to compare the nutritional information on older and novel packages. Then I observed that sugar level in this halva was increased dramatically – from 25,7 g to 47,3 g (per 100 g). What a setback! Almost twice!

Previously it was not very sweet dessert with a soft and integral texture. Almost irresistible treat, which was less bitter than usual halva. It seemed to me that Sebahat’s halva had all features of traditional taste that were tuned in a slightly milder mode. This is why I liked it.

But now Helva with Cocoa by Sebahat turned into some supersweet imitation of itself. Almost everything (what made it great earlier) just melted in the sugar… Game over. But let’s hope for reload.
